EMAILS
For email to be sent and received properly they must be addressed completely, succcinctly, accurately and completely. When they are not addressed properly the emails end up in oblivion. The address must be exact in order for the internet email delivering system to know exactly where to deliver it to.
THE ADDRESS
Make sure the TO line has a complete email address. (1)The nickname before the @ must be exact. If you are off one letter (or number), it will not go where it was intended to go. If you put a space somewhere in the name, it will not be delivered. The underscore ( _ ) can only be used in the email address if it is actually part of the email name before the @.
THE PART AFTER THE @
It must be spelled exactly the way the website name is supposed to be spelled. If you are given the wrong spelling by the person you're trying to write to, or you copy it down wrong, it will not be delivered. It must have the correct TLD (TopLevel Domain), such as .com, .net, .org, .biz., .info, etcetra, included, or it won't be delivered.
IF YOU INCLUDE ADDRESSEE'S REAL NAME
If the real name of the addressee is also on the TO line, it must be in quotation marks (Example: "John") and the actual email address must then be in brackets like these: <jabber@webmeusa.com>. So if the real name is included in the TO line, it would look like this: "John" <jabber@webmeusa.com> (It is not absolutely necessary to include the REAL NAME, but some email anti-spam programs and filters will not deliver the email to the addressee's inbox unless the real name is included.)
SENDING COPIES TO OTHER PEOPLE
If you wish to send copies of an email to more than one person, do not put that address in the TO address line. There should be just ONE address on the TO line. Enter the additional email address in the CC line. If more than one additional addressee, seperate each email address with a comma.
ONE LAST THING
Make sure you give your complete and full email address to those who you want to write to you. If they don't have an accurate email address it won't be delivered to you.
